22:53 BST - That's it for this evening, thanks for joining us. We'll be back tomorrow to bring you all the updates from a couple of Premier League games, the consequences of which will be felt a little lower down the table than they were tonight.

It's the jostling for potential European places as Brighton host Chelsea before Manchester United take on Newcastle. See you tomorrow!

22:25 BST - After all that, here's how the top of the Premier League table looks. City are in the driving seat for the title, and Spurs have now officially lost out on fourth spot.

22:21 BST - Stefan Ortega came on as an injury replacement for Ederson in the second half after the Brazilian suffered a head knock in a collision when going for the ball. Ortega went on to make three crucial saves, including one when Son broke free and threatened to cancel City's one-goal lead at the time.

"Today he made the difference," Rodri said of Ortega. "People talk about him but today the team needed two goals and Stefan was just simply incredible.

"We were 1-0 up, if they draw we were out, so, outstanding three saves. I have no words."

22:18 BST - Rodri said the victory has given City the chance to "fight" for the title.

"It's unbelievable," he told Sky Sports. "For us, giving us the chance to fight again in the last game.

"We know there is still one more game.

"It showed the character of the team. Of course it wasn't our best performance, but we came here to win - that's what we do."

22:03 BST - While many headlines will say that City have done the job, there is still the matter of a home game against West Ham to come. Here are the fixtures for the final day of the Premier League on Sunday:

Final-day fixtures

21:58 BST - FULL-TIME: There's the final whistle, and it confirms that Manchester City will go into the final day of the Premier League as the league leaders.

Tottenham played better in the second half than they did in the first, but Erling Haaland's two goals - one tap-in and one penalty - have given Pep Guardiola's side a 2-0 win tonight and the advantage of having their destiny in their own hands on Sunday. Here's our full report of the game.

Key stats from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Key stats from the Tottenham Hotspur StadiumOpta by StatsPerform

21:48 BST - GOAL! Haaland has put City 2-0 up. That will be that for this game, and that is a monumental goal in the Premier League title race.

21:47 BST - PENALTY! This could be it for City here. Foden puts in a brilliant pass to Doku who goes past Porro, and Porro leaves a leg trailing as Doku wins a penalty for his side. Haaland has stepped up.

21:31 BST - Rangers have kept the Scottish Premiership title race alive for another few days by turning around their 2-1 deficit at half-time to beat Dundee 5-2.

21:19 BST - There's been a big collision between Romero and Ederson, and Ederson has stayed down and is receiving treatment from the doctors. Romero, who immediately showed concern for his opponent, hit Ederson unintentionally with his hip and has been shown a yellow card for being reckless. Ederson will play on.

21:08 BST - GOAL! Man City are ahead and it's that man Erling Haaland who scores it, although he'll scarcely score one from closer for the rest of his professional career.

Kevin De Bruyne makes a superb run to take possession down the right of the area, and then send the ball skidding across the goal where Haaland gratefully taps in after the ball has beaten the keeper. Tottenham 0-0 Manchester City.

20:52 BST - Here's what the stats tell us about the first half in north London.

Key half-time stats
Key half-time statsOpta by StatsPerform

20:46 BST - HALF-TIME: There's the whistle from the referee to indicate that we have reached the halfway mark here at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It's Spurs 0-0 Man City, which means that as things stand, Arsenal are top of the Premier League table.

20:23 BST - Meanwhile, Rangers are 2-1 down against Dundee at half-time. If things don't improve for them, Celtic will be crowned Scottish Premiership champions this evening.

20:17 BST - There's been a few half-chances so far, but the best of the lot has just fallen to Phil Foden, who is the recepient of an awful attempted clearance from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. However, Guglielmo Vicario comes to the rescue with a brilliant save to keep things 0-0.

20:00 BST - We are underway at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for one of the most keenly-anticipated matches of this Premier League season. Can City take one giant step towards the title, or will Spurs throw one more curveball for this thrilling title race?

19:45 BST - A reminder of how it all played out the last time these two teams faced off in the Premier League, in Manchester in December.

19:30 BST - A few words from both camps ahead of tonight's game.

"There's a lot on the line," Kyle Walker told Sky Sports. "We've always had tough games here and it's going to be another tough game tonight. We just need to treat this game as a final, which it is."

19:11 BST - That all means that this is how the teams will line-up at kick-off in just under an hour's time:

19:07 BST - Ange Postecoglou has made three changes to the side that was forced to come from behind to beat Burnley 2-1 over the weekend. Rodrigo Bentancur, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Radu Dragusin come into the side at the expense of Yves Bissouma, who is injured, and Oliver Skipp and Dejan Kulusevski who will start the game from the bench.

19:02 BST - Manchester City have made just one change to the team that beat Fulham 4-0 on Saturday, with Kyle Walker coming into the side to replace Nathan Ake who drops the bench. Walker will captain the side and lines up in the same defensive line as Josko Gvardiol, who scored twice at Craven Cottage.

18:45 BST - We'll have the team news for City's clash with Spurs shortly, but to tide you over here is the team news for Rangers' fixture against Dundee. If Rangers don't win, the Scottish Premiership title race will be over and Celtic will be crowned champions.

09:05 BST - Good morning and welcome back to the Football Tracker! It's the big one tonight - Manchester City's game in hand against Tottenham, which will have a mammoth impact on the title race.

22:46 BST - A clearly very pleased Unai Emery was adamant he won't be paying too much attention to Tottenham's match against Manchester City tomorrow evening.

"We are very proud of the season," the Aston Villa boss told Sky Sports.

"It is not enough at the moment to get fourth. We are going to prepare for the match on Sunday against Crystal Palace. Even after we scored the two goals we had chances.

"We are celebrating the season here with our supporters in Villa Park. We are only thinking of us. We will prepare for our match on Sunday, everything is in our hands."

22:38 BST - After his final Premier League away game with Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp was left to lament his side's gifted chances.

"Before we changed, we gave them too many chances," Klopp told Sky Sports.

"It was very intense for the boys. They created too much. They were too often in our box and we made the changes. Then we made a mistake. It happens but in that moment, it opens the door.

"They scored an equaliser and I don't even know how. The character from the boys tonight was outstanding in our situation. We wanted to win the game. In the moment, when we gave away the 3-2, that was really tricky."

22:33 BST - Aston Villa's Emi Martinez scored his third own goal in the Premier League, the most ever scored by a goalkeeper in the competition's history.

He'll be delighted to hear that, no doubt.

22:26 BST - Aston Villa captain John McGinn says his teammates "will have Man City tops on tomorrow."

"It's a brilliant effort towards the end," McGinn told Sky Sports.

"We got a bit of luck. It's been a tough few weeks with lads coming back and playing through the pain barrier. This place got us going.

"Big Jhon is a bit nuts at times, he's a nightmare to play against. I don't think it's been difficult for us as players.

"We'll have our Man City tops on tomorrow."

22:20 BST - That result means Spurs now have to beat Manchester City to remain in with a chance of reaching the Champions League next season.

21:53 BST - Nine minutes of added time.

21:51 BST - GOAL! Another goal for Aston Villa from nowhere!

It's Jhon Duran again, who somehow sees the ball bounce off his knee before perfectly looping over Alisson. It's 3-3!

21:48 BST - GOAL! A glimmer of hope for Aston Villa as Alexis Mac Allister loses the ball on the edge of the box, allowing Jhon Duran to curl the ball into the bottom corner. It's now 3-2 to Liverpool.

21:16 BST - NO GOAL! VAR rules the goal out.

21:15 BST - GOAL! Another one goes in, this time for the home side through Ollie Watkins, but it may be ruled out for offside...

21:12 BST - GOAL! Barely two minutes into the second half and Liverpool find their third through a towering header from Jarell Quansah

20:24 BST - We have our third goal of the evening and it's Liverpool who are back in front through Cody Gakpo - although it looks like this one may be ruled out for offside by VAR...

20:13 BST - GOAL! Aston Villa respond!

Ollie Watkins works the ball to the byline before cutting back to a returning Youri Tielemans, who rifles home the equaliser. It's 1-1.

20:03 BST - GOAL! Not the best start for Aston Villa or keeper Emi Martinez, who makes a complete hash of a deflected cross and spills into his own net.

It's 1-0 to Liverpool.

20:00 BST - We are underway between Aston Villa and Liverpool!

19:55 BST - Tom Hanks is in attendance for tonight's clash at Villa Park.

Will it be a Big win for the home side? Or will their hopes of winning be Castaway?

He'll no doubt be hoping the ball hits the back of the net tonight, rather than The Post...

OK, stopping now, sorry.

18:45 BST - Unai Emery’s side might've already wrapped up a top-four finish if it weren’t for losing 1-0 to Brighton in their last league outing, putting them at risk of losing back-to-back Premier League games for the first time this season.

09:47 BST - In the EFL, MK Dons play Crawley in the League Two play-offs later tonight, with Crawley 3-0 ahead on aggregate after the first leg.

08:58 BST - We also have the highly-anticipated derby between Rangers and Celtic at 12:30, in which Rangers likely need an away win in order to keep their title hopes alive. The sides will meet again in the first Old Firm Scottish Cup final for 22 years on May 25th, meaning both can finish the season on a high.

Rangers are potentially four games away from a first domestic treble since 2003 after winning the League Cup earlier this season, while Celtic are tipped for a league and cup double.

08:13 BST - Good morning and welcome along for another weekend of Premier League action. Man City travel to Fulham in the early kick-off, where Pep Guardiola's side will be looking to go ahead of Arsenal ahead of the Gunners' game against Manchester United on Sunday.
