14:43 GMT - British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe's purchase of a 25 percent stake in Manchester United has been approved by the Football Association.

Ratcliffe's deal had received the backing of the Premier League on Monday evening and the FA have now also given the green light to his investment.

11:41 GMT - A Dutch court sentenced former Ajax and international winger Quincy Promes to six years in prison Wednesday, convicting him of smuggling more than one thousand kilograms of cocaine.

"The suspect is regularly in the news, is active on social media, and has fans worldwide," the judge said.

"This makes it even worse that he has tried to increase his wealth... by participating in major international drug trafficking."

10:20 GMT - Pep Guardiola is sweating over Jack Grealish's fitness after the Manchester City winger limped off during his side's Champions League win against FC Copenhagen.

"He wanted to continue but we didn't want to make the damage even worse. We'll make tests on Wednesday," Guardiola said.

08:38 GMT -  Leipzig were left to rue a controversial disallowed goal in Tuesday's 1-0 home loss to Real Madrid in their last 16 Champions League clash.

Striker Benjamin Sesko scored in the second minute but the linesman raised his flag for offside.

Replays showed Sesko was clearly onside but VAR did not overturn the decision.

"There was a goal which should have counted," manager Marco Rose said, explaining "if we were playing a goal up, maybe things would have turned out differently".

23:00 GMT - Pep Guardiola hailed Kevin De Bruyne's form "extraordinary" after the Belgian was involved in all three goals as Manchester City beat Copenhagen 3-1 on Tuesday to close in on the Champions League quarter-finals.

"The biggest players love to appear in the biggest stages," he said. "It's the hour of truth when you are in the last 16 of the Champions League and we start well."

22:15 GMT - Speaking after Man City's 3-1 win, man of the moment Kevin De Bruyne said he felt "happy" after scoring once and providing two assists. 

"I'm just trying to play good," he said. "It's been a long five or six months, but I'm just happy to be back helping the team win games and be at my best.

"I feel alright. Obviously I still need a couple more games and minutes. I've not played 90 minutes for almost a year, but I'm getting there. I'm feeling good and the level is good enough for the moment, so I'm happy."
